Burning sensation and numbing in the hip/groin

What can this be? Does anyone have it also? Starting from week 33 (now almost 35) i started getting this burning pain in my hip. It feels like my skin is on fire, yet when i touch that spot - skin feels numb. It comes and goes, but usually appears when i walk or sit for a while. Today i tried to go for a walk with my dog and could not get back home due to this nonsense. Hubbs had to run back home and get the car. After the night rest it goes away and skin is sensitive to touch like normal again. Then during the day it amplifies again 😔 Definitely something with the baby girl pinching my nerves. She is very low. But what is this symptom? Sucks because i live being active and now pretty much have to limit everything, even walking!

I get a burning sensation on the right side of my groin. It almost feels like tight underwear but it’s caused by the pulling of a round ligament or pulled groin. It’s so uncomfortable. I pulled it in bed one night a few weeks ago and it has been bothersome since.

@Nadine is it always there for u or goes away?

@Katia it goes away when I’m moving around. I only experience it if I’m sitting on the couch for a bit and especially laying down in bed.

I would recommend asking your ob to refer you to pelvic floor physical therapy. I started recently for hip/groin pain (different feeling but still very painful and impacting my life) and after 2 sessions I feel like it’s improving.

A maternity belt may also help to alleviate some of that. Have you tried lifting your bump when it happens? I get that pain when i do too much. Rest (elevating feet) makes it go away. Definitely check with OB and see you can get PT as mentioned before.

I go to the chiropractor and to physical therapy to help with mine. When I’m doing certain movements I focus on my breath and then pulling my muscles in the hug baby to get through the movement. I am so wear a pregnancy belt there are quite a few out there if you can get into physical therapy they can recommend the right one for you based on where you are feeling discomfort. My husband also rubs my hips and presses in on them to help with the pain it feels so good!

@Krissie i have been going to pelvic floor specialist

@Cristina yeah for me pretty much that also feels like the body is exhausted and flags i have been overdoing it on my feet. Starting next week i will work remote so dont have to worry about driving and being on my feet

Okay so i went to the pelvic floor specialist today. She told me that this is femoral nerve being pinched based on the location of where it burns/numbs. And not a sciatic nerve. She also believes my round ligament is being stretched and this adds to the problem. Both her and my ob believe this will pass when i give birth and the babe pressure on my tissues/organs is gone
