Too much ibruprofen?

Help, I’m beside myself with worry! My 9 month old is teething pretty bad and has a cold so we gave her some ibuprofen this morning. I normally give her 5ml of calpol as that’s the recommended dosage for her age, and I was so sure that it was the same for ibuprofen that I didn’t even think to check the box. I by chance looked at the box after and it’s actually 2.5ml recommended and not 5ml!! She’s not had any other form of medicine in the last few weeks so is she okay?? I’ve technically given her a double dose but still not more than she’s allowed to have in 24 hours. Has anyone done this before? Just need some reassurance x

Look, I've made exactly the same mistake. She'll be absolutely fine! In reality, the recommended dose is a fraction of what would be considered harmful. It's a simple mistake that anyone can make.

As long as you don’t exceed the daily limit, and your baby isn’t showing any adverse reactions, I’m sure she’ll be okay ❤️ easy mistake to make!

i'm sure she'll be okay but if you're in doubt you can always phone 111 🥰 im pretty sure as parents we all do the same, i've done it and my son was fine 🥰

She should be absolutely fine, as above, the recommended doses on the bottle are soooo much lower than what would actually harm them (for this exact reason). I'm sure we've all done it accidentally at some point, I know I have xx
