I dont have an nhs job, but when i was applying for similar roles for big companies i looked up the specific trusts values and some key words and used them in the interview. Also think of things like inclusivity etc

Magic words: Kind Respectful Body language Patient centred Evidence based advice Admit if you don’t know answer and check with someone who does Stuff like this. Is there a course you’d like to do? To show them you want to work on your own development? Ultimately, lot of this is about talking the talk. People get jobs because they interview well but can’t actually do the job or have no intention in doing it right. And imagine those to be your superiors 🤦‍♀️ Good luck and let us know xx

I work for the NHS. They will be looking for you to use the STAR method to answer interview questions. Prepare a bunch of STAR method answers based on the job specification. The questions are likely to be a mix of behavioural based and values based questions. Look up the specific NHS values for the health board you’re applying for and try to weave those into your answers.

@Kirsty thank you! What is the STAR method ?

@Jana thank you so much! Xx

@Hannah thank you !

6 c's is a common talking point - compassion competence, communication, courage commitment and care. Linking them to scenarios they might ask :) patience centre care is big too - it's all about the patients and making them better, keeping them safe etc c

@Kirsty thank you so much! Xx

@Kim thank you so much x
