@Rebecca Hey! so mine was successful easy process called into a room got changed given my order my c section I was second! and was in by 10:15 after being in hospital by 7 and further 45-1 hour in surgery then after care I needed slight more support due to shaking and itching and overall grottyness but it was okay taken to Ward 16 and been here since just waiting on being medically cleared to go home but they found issues with blood pressure being Low so hourly checks atm but support with breast feeding! i would say if you aren’t ready off the bat to breastfeed that’s okay! and don’t be pushed into it as I did knowing i hadn’t slept in 36 hours (prior due to anxiety) and was forced/more then encouraged by a loud nurse and it ended with me nearly falling asleep while bf despite stating my wishes i wanted to wait till the morning, the arent great with pain medication a lot of following up for basic stuff but helpful with everything else and supporting baby🩷 good luck

I'm sorry you had this experience in regards to breast feeding and being pressured. They tried getting Me to then she saw the meds I was on and just stopped! X

@Nikky thank you! we are home now they massively let me down the first night after section I had no medication and the morning staff followed up and apologised but i’ve been set back a day in recovery because of it and wasn’t able to move pick up baby or even change him! the 2 days we were in however now i’m managing my own medication and keeping on top of it and feeling a lot better!🩷

@Rebecca it really wasn’t a bad experience just make sure you have someone there advocating for your own needs as you may struggle after surgery, speak to your birthing partner before and during and make sure you push medication etc if you need it 🩷 the staff were all lovely just one midwife was rather pushy! also bare in mind your milk can come in 3/4 days after mine has come in now as i’ve got home! so don’t worry about it if you are wanting to breast feed just get yourself comfortable and ready🩷x
