Yes, jolly phonics is the best way to teach them

Can i be honest, after i’ve been looking around schools this year, all of the reception teachers have told me to hold off teaching phonics, and to focus on name recognition etc, as they all learn phonics week by week together, and if your child already knows phonics when they start school, they’re going to have a pretty boring year!

@Alyssia thank you! This is a very good point 🥰 my little one will be one of the younger ones in her year group so just wanted to help her where I can and give a lil bit of a head start but didn’t even think of it like that🥰x
