Sleep bags&swaddles for hospital

Hey girls! I’m due to have little one in January and was wondering if any of you mums are packing or have packed sleep bags/swaddles in baby’s hospital bag? It’s freezing in January but I’ve been told the hospitals are really warm! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🫶🏻

I won’t be packing either for the hospital because believe me the wards are boiling! Just a couple of blankets, sleepsuits & vests will be fine for baby whilst in the hospital - the hospital also give you blankets if needed so don’t stress x

Thank you! X

I’m not sure either. I’ll probably pack in case and see how it goes.. My first was born in Sept and it was way too warm for a sleeping bag

I’ve got a love to dream swaddle up 1.0 tog and my sleep bags are all 2.5 tog! Can’t imagine I’ll need the 2.5 in hospital? Maybe the 1.0 I just don’t know 🤦🏼‍♀️ Same with vests, I’ve got both long and short and not sure what baby will need x

This is my second baby and I had my first in July 2022. The postnatal ward was so cold so this time I will be taking a very thick blanket for myself in case I need to stay in and a 2.5 tog sleep bag for my baby. The hospital blankets are cellular so have holes in them and are quite thin so I will definitely be taking a sleeping bag for him this time x

I'm only taking a blanket for her and that's more for the car journey than anything else.
