I just lost my mucus plug (40 weeks today) - does this mean labour is close and if so is this hours or days? Thanks!!!

Well I had little bits from Monday, yesterday I lost a whole lot more of my mucus plug, I’m still waiting for anything else to happen now 🥲 I’m 39+3. No other signs at all. I genuinely thought it would have been yesterday haha

I’m the same lost mine yesterday at 40 weeks but not had any other signs xx

I lost my bloody show/plug on a Friday morning at 7am ish and he was here 7.57am the next day

Depends if it’s your bloody show or just mucus plug, labour is probably closer if it was your bloody show as the mucus plug can regenerate xx

@Phoebe agree... I was losing mucus plug for a couple of weeks. Then like I said bloody show then 24 hours later I had a baby.

Depends really it's hard to tell. With my fist i gave birth 5 days later after losing my plug but was having contractions for 4 days

i actually lost mine early morning and baby arrived by 2.30pm the same day!!!

I lost my mucus plug at 36 weeks, midwife said if labour starts it will start within 3 days of losing it. Unknown to me you can also just develop a new mucus plug too and carry on for weeks yet.

@Rebecca yeah the mucusbplig can regenerate but the bloody show don't xx

I lost mine last Thursday but no baby yet ☹️

Oooo seems everyone is so different! I was hoping because I’m 40 weeks now it means she’s coming 😂. Was trying to avoid an induction which I have booked tomorrow! Thanks girls x
