First time round I had one that took me to 4cm, then had another a week later and then next morning my waters broke and by the time I got to the hospital I was 8cm dilated and in full on labour.
I went into labour 6 hours later x
It's different for everyone so hard to say. I had one at 38 wks which caused some contractions but nothing more. Had another at 39 wks and labour started within an hour! Went from 1cm to 8cm in 4 hours and LO arrived and hour later!
I went into labour 2 days later. I was 38 weeks pregnant X
I just had my second sweep this morning, had constant back ache and period pain since 2am that's stayed all day... really hoping it turns into more 😭
You might be lucky and it might work. I was 1cm from my first check at 40w. Had two sweeps and neither worked. You may bleed, you may get cramps, you may lose some or all of your plug. It caused me to have awful tummy ache and bleed but no labour.
Bleeding lol And probably nothing more lol but everyone is different
