My little girl does with somethings but not all xx If I ask her to get me a leaf when outside she will If I say where is your baby she gets her baby and goes to find a ball...
I don’t think mine would leave me to go to another room in his own at this stage. If I said where’s the ball I think he’d pick it up. Not sure about anything else though
Yes my girl can do this and has for a while especially with certain things - if I say go get your book or doll etc. she can go away and come back with it. Or can say let’s go for your bath or something like that and she’ll go to the bathroom. She’s always had good/early understanding though and don’t think it’s expected and the range is huge when it comes to language for both understanding and speaking.
Mine can do this with most items that she's familiar with, from other rooms and in the same room. For example, if we're in the kitchen making food, I can ask her to go find her drink from the living room ready for dinner and she will go and find it, and bring it back. Sometimes she gets distracted though. She's been able to do this since about 13-14 months. I've never heard of this as a milestone or anything though? Following directions in general is a milestone for their language comprehension I think? Does he seem generally to understand what you're saying or asking him?
