it depends on if u can stop, but i didn't smoke every day
Just know when it’s time to deliver the baby , if the nurses / doctors find any thc in your system or babies ..cps will get notified. They will then do a inspection of your home when you’re released from the hospital to make sure the baby has everything, there’s no weed or anything laying around etc
I smoked during both pregnancies if you want to talk more we can 🫶🏽
I would stop. I use to be a heavy smoker. So it’s not like I’m completely against smoking but you shouldn’t smoke anything when you’re pregnant. And it is a drug. Just because it grows on the earth doesn’t mean it’s not a drug. There’s other stuff u can try. Google or ask your doctor.
@Parker 又 sorry for tagging you beautiful mama but I know you have the best info on this xx
@Sharnee 🥲🫣🫶🏼 I am honored for have been called upon
So I consumed thc my entire pregnancy but I’m in a legal state, and was a medical card holder up until a year before I got pregnant. My ob knew of my consumption & just suggested I switch to smokeless methods of consumption (like edibles, or pills) & generally cut back in usage. He was much more concerned about coughing causing my heart rate to increase than he was concerned about the thc at all. I didn’t have any cps intervention in the hospital & never heard of me or baby being tested (idk if we were I just didn’t hear anything about it at all) my son was born perfectly healthy & was not underweight, had no weird head, no health concerns even to this day. From a quick google it appears that this year a bill was enacted in Georgia to removed mandated reporting of new born toxicology reports! Which means hospital workers & your ob team are at their own discretion on if they end up contacting cps or local law enforcement due to the toxicology reports findings (:
I also am an avid gardner lol. But my OB - who was very supportive and understanding, reminded me there are no reliable studies on the effects of thc while growing another human. And without supporting evidence that it is safe to do so, it is safer to stop until after birth.
Cutting back is always advised & smokeless methods of consumption will cause less issues, the level of harm thc will do is unknown due to any regulated research being seen as unethical, however there’s never been direct correlation between solely thc & negative birth outcomes. But most all the data in the current studies are collected thru self reported questionnaires responses, there’s no real way to verify any of the info that makes up the data. The most accurate studies so far have come out of Jamaica! I’ll have to see if I can find the link for that study
Old friend of mine her mother smoked whilst pregnant with both of her children and they had severe mental issues. Another friend her mum smoked cigarettes whilst pregnant and all 3 of her children were disabled. I guess you just have to ask yourself if it’s worth the risk
i smoked w both of mine :)
I think the best thing even if there’s no evidence yet is to stop and hold off till baby is here. You just never know and you don’t want your baby to be born and you regret the things you did while pregnant. You want the healthiest baby possible and what you eat/inhale is what the baby also receives. I’ve had two baby’s and smoked every night and as soon as I found out, I stopped even though I have crazy nausea for both.
i smoked till 6 month only grass then stopped till i gave birth it didn't harm my baby
