Progesterone isn't used to help you get pregnant, it's to help you stay pregnant. So like Laura said, you wouldn't start taking it until you were pregnant
@Michelle yeah you dont use it untilk your pregnant
I was going to do an unmedicated IUI this month and they wanted me to use progesterone from about 2dpo. It’s meant to help support the endometrial lining of the uterus and implantation of the embryo. We didn’t manage to do IUI since I ovulated by myself and found some info of women doing this in their 2 ww ( especially those who miscarried before like myself). I should have asked the Dr this morning but was caught off guard that I ovulated already. Thanks for your advice
Those who’s got progesterone, have you had your levels checked before? What were your levels? I’m not quite sure why some people get progesterone after a positive test? I’ve had two chemicals in the last three months, and not sure if this is something I should request too if / when I get a positive next time?
FYI ladies I checked with my doctor and this is what he told me this morning - you can use the progesterone suppositories anyway for two weeks and then do a pregnancy test. I don’t think there’s any “harm” in it and as I said before it can only help with implantation. Especially with women who have faced early miscarriage 🤞 https://blog.inito.com/progesterone-suppositories/
Normally you start when you get a positive pregnancy test
