Screaming after bath

My little girl has screamed hysterically like she’s in pain (like when she had her 8 week jabs) about 15 minutes after her bath for the last 2 nights. She’s not hungry and she’s not cold as it’s after she’s had clothes on and has warmed right up. Has anyone else experienced this and figured out what might be causing it? It’s putting me off wanting to give her a bath as the crying is so bad 😩

My girl has done this a few times and I put it down to her being cold, so I started putting her towel and clothes on the radiator and she’s stopped x

My daughter always did this and now my son . I put it down to it being the end of the day, she's tired, hungry and really stimulated from the bath and maybe a bit cold / adjusting to life on land lol coming from the bath. As soon as I feed them they seemed to be fine but I know what you mean, it's such a powerful cry!

The only times my boy has done it is if he’s really tired or needs a bottle x

@Issabel I definitely don’t think it’s because she’s cold as she doesn’t cry when she’s out of the bath and naked, it’s a good 15/20 minutes after she’s dressed and warmed up! 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Megan I’m sure I timed it right, still enough time before she should have been over tired or hangry. I wish I knew what was making her so upset cause she honestly seems like she’s in pain her crying has been so bad!

@Hollie I’m going to try and bath her at a different time of day and see if it makes a difference! Wanted it to be part of her evening routine but don’t think it’s good for her to be getting this upset and screaming so much. When did it stop for your daughter?

@Lucy she could just be experiencing the witching hour still! I know it can last till they’re like 5 months old :( I’d say have her checked by a doctor but if it’s only that time of day then I’d put it down to that

I do skin to skin after bath times because my baby was so upset after baths. It's really helped so far :)

@Sarah thanks I’ll give that a try!

@Megan yes maybe you’re right! I’m going to skip her bath tomorrow night and will see if she’s the same or not

@Lucy was she better tonight??

@Megan no she wasn’t 😔 just seems odd for it to be the witching hour as I thought they were supposed to be much better from 12 weeks but she seems to be getting worse/this seems to be a new thing

@Lucy ah I’m sorry to hear that! I heard it could last longer than that, I hope you can figure it out soon! I dreaded the evenings when my boy was like it
