Baby not responding/ looking when called
Hey so my little one is 16 months now there’s a few little things ive noticed that worry me a little bit. He’s so busy constantly doing something he cannot sit still but when called by his name he literally will not look at you no matter how many times you call him. He does make eye contact when he wants but just doesn’t respond to his name. Another worry is that he constantly gets frustrated and headbutts things a lot sometimes for no reason and other times if you tell him no or take something away. I have got health visitor tomorrow so will mention these but just wondering if anyone’s gone through the same thing? I can’t take him nowhere without him getting overwhelmed and frustrated

@Jacelyn I had a meeting with the health visitor yesterday and brought it up and she said if he was ignoring and not responding to his name literally never then it’s something they would look into but if he has looked or if you can call him to you then not to worry, she said I bet if you had a packet of crisps or food and called him he would come straight over😂x
Oh that’s reassuring! Haha yeah we have been using his name a lot more in association with Food / Milk so now he’s a bit more alert if we do say his name 😅 I’ve also started hiding in other rooms and saying ‘where’s mama or Frank (his name)’ and he does actually listen and look for me! X
