Sons 4th Birthday Party

I’m trying to plan a fun birthday party for my son. His birthday is on Christmas Day and it makes this time of year extremely hectic!! He’s in school and now has experienced other buddies parties and I really want him to have one too. Only thing is for the amount of kids and events available in my area this would cost almost $1k so I’m trying to cut the price as much as I can. Would it be okay to throw a movie party for some 4 year olds? I mean we watch movies all the time and I’m sure other kids do too I just don’t want it to seem like I’m just plopping them in front of the tv and calling it a party. I’d have a theme, probably set up some tents, have the kids come in pjs to be cozy, popcorn machine. Make it really special. Thoughts?

I think that would be fun. Maybe pre watch the movie and have an activity like a movie scavenger hunt for them to cross off/point out things while they watch if you want to make it more interactive

Sounds fun. The kids will just have fun in PJs and playing with each other in tents/forts. That and snacks alone they will have a great time. The kids will be engaged with each other they probably won't even be interested in the movie LOL. You could put on the invite what time the movie will be on. That way the, No Screens Parent, can plan around it.

I’ve also seen on Tik tok people make mini concession stations so they can get their snacks etc

Some movie theaters you can rent out for 100 or so and it’s up to 40 people
