Baby screeching

Hi! My 5 month old has started screeching in the last few weeks and I was wondering if there is anything I can do to stop it? I know it means he has just found his voice and he is experimenting with it however, I can’t really get anything done around the house as the noise is so loud and so high pitched neither myself or my partner can stand it. As soon as I pick him up he’s okay again pretty much! I’ve tried putting him in the carrier but he’s not always happy in it and wants to get out and just be held standing. I’ve tried keeping him distracted with toys, teethers, Mrs Rachel and different chairs and nothing seems to last long. He is properly teething atm so maybe it’s just because he wants extra attention? Idk but any advice or suggestions would be very appreciated!!

Honestly….you already mentioned that you know screaming is a normal part of their development, so my suggestion on that would be to cover your ears. As long as you know baby isn’t screaming bc something is wrong. Maybe put some tissue in there so the screams are muffled but you can still hear. Other than that honestly you may need to just suck it up. You could also try to redirect them and get them to do something else when they start screaming if it’s really that loud and persistent. My son started at a certain point crying every time I put him down just bc he didn’t want to be sat down. I started leaving him there for the 5-10 minutes it would take me to do what I needed to get done. They eventually learn that they need to wait a minute and stop crying so much. If this isn’t his normal behavior and you notice he’s teething, then disregard everything I said before and give him all the love. But if you’re noticing he’s starting a new norm then what I said initially is what I think

😂😂😂 not sure if you other children but LOL give it time. My guy loved screaming, and like whole hearted scream for fun 😂

If you think it’s due to teething you can also try Tylenol if you think it’s because he is in pain. But I agree just sounds like normal learning 2 using his voice !

I would try noise cancelling headphones!! :)
