100% agree with Laila, swap for some story time. Also eating and watching TV is linked to obesity as you don't think and listen to your body so definitely worth breaking that asap.
Just go cold turkey with the tv time
I would just change what you put on the tv. We did baby tunes for about that same time (it was the only way to keep her distracted to get anything done without holding her). We had to have it on every night while she got dressed from her bath because it was the only way to keep her from screaming and one day we just stopped doing it and since she was older she adjusted better I think but now we only put on pbs educational shows for her maybe once a day but it used to be every time she ate and that has slowly gone away too (now she’ll only eat if she’s playing too🥴) it can be a bad habit but he’s just a baby and sometimes you gotta do what works. I would probably start decreasing the time the tv is on to slowly just turn it back off and use other things as distractions!
Thank you all. I literally went cold turkey from yesterday and honestly he hasn’t even realised there was no tv. He has also been drinking without the tv on so I am really glad I decided to do this now.
I would just stop the TV and maybe change that for a book. He's 8 months old so those good habits you make now will stay with him x
