C Section Healing Tips

I had section at the end of October (second section) I am still in a bit of pain with it on one side more than the other. Looking to see if anyone know anything I can put on it to help the pain or tightness that I can feel?? I have seen them c section strips but they say for just after having section… Any advice will be appreciated ✨

I was told the tightness feeling comes from the way the surgeon completes the stitching. I dont remember putting anything on the stitches themselves but continued with painkillers for a while. I had to have naproxen from the GP as paracetamol and ibuprofen weren’t cutting it when I got home.

I have also had a c section it’s actually my first and I had it on 22nd October. I’m still in a lot of pain and I feel like my stomach is still swollen and big. I get a pulling sensation and above the stitches I have a very tender and bruised like feeling on my stomach 😫 finding breastfeeding a little challenging too at times it’s very painful …any tips I would appreciate it

Hi, I had a C section last month as well. Had the same symptoms, don't put anything on the stitches, apart from washing it, no rubbing just tapping, leave the scar to "breathe". Regarding the pain, just painkillers unfortunately. 😘

One of the community midwives advised me it felt tighter and sore on one side because of the way the surgeon does the stitches. She said she expected that’s the side the surgeon stood and she was right! Although if you’re concerned get it checked out. You’re still under midwife care until 6 weeks so give the number a call
