Height at 2 percentile

My son is 12 months old, and his height is at the 2nd percentile. We’re really worried—has anyone else gone through similar issues? He doesn’t eat very much, around 25 oz of formula per day. The doctor recommended we add PediaSure and cow’s milk + keep feeding him solids.

My son was negative percentile for a while and he never went over 2% for weight. Even at almost 4 years old. He is very healthy and thriving. Are you and his father smaller? I’m 5’1” and his dad is 5’10” but very thin so the doctor wasn’t too concerned. Usually they’re more concerned with them following their curve.

I’m 5’3” and my husband is 5’10” — so worried he is not growing enough :(

@Amanda Understandable! I was very worried too- some babies are just small! I just check and my son is actually in the 4th percentile for weight now 😅 Personal opinion- I wouldn’t do PediaSure. I would just push more solids. Maybe try smoothies loaded with fruits and vegetables?
