Mine is not talking really but he is a lot more alert than his brother who is 15 months older, also yells and screams when he is hungry. He says hi, oh oh and yes. Mama and dada sometimes.
Well both of your kids are talking. They say some words. My son has ZERO words
Yes I know having an older sibling is helpful with development. My older son is delayed and mild autistic, so my younger son has not much of an example or competition.
So many things can impact child speech delays.. Does your son watch cocomelon? Studies show that it’s linked to speech delays. And using a binky is also linked to speech delays. I’m not a doctor but if you are concerned talk to your baby’s pediatrician about it. How old is your baby? (Ps. My son uses a binky given to him when in the NICU so I’m not like anti binky but I just found out they are linking long term binky usage 18-24+ months of binky usage is being linked to speech delays.) Happy to talk more about it with you and bounce ideas around. Send a pm if you need to talk
I also agree try not to compare your baby to others it’s hard. I know, it’s hard but every baby and parent is so unique be patient with your lil man I’m sure you are both doing a great job! I’ve started taking binky away from my son for a few hours to see if he’d be more vocal and he is. So if your son uses a binky try snatching it for an hour or two. Talking to them all the time helps develop their speech but you probably know that. Just offering what I do know to try to help. I’m just a ftm here 🫶
He doesn't use a binky and doesn't watch cocomelon. He does use the bottle to drink juice. Also he does have screen time and when the TV is on (for other stuff) he like to watch commercials. His doctor said it's ok because he's so great with gross motor
Mines not!! He says dada and where is it? And that’s it 😊 walks all over the place!! He can sign “all done” and just this week when he’s hungry he walks and stands in front of the fridge and basically starts banging on it 🤣 so he is communicating but not with words. I’m not worried!! Please try to not compare yourself to other moms and their babes! Your baby will be fine ❤️❤️
