Has anyone ever dealt with someone on here who was rude, refused to answer relevant questions and then started making crap up that you had done?

Like I don't even know how to feel because I feel everything at the moment; angry, upset, frustrated, bewildered, confused, heartbroken, worried, etc So basically, her post was about child abuse she had witnessed. She refused to answer any questions or to call CPS, just kept saying it was being handled, and that the kids had been moved. Like no questions; are they with a safe person? Has the school reported the abuse? She kept making excuses about it not being her family, so I asked if her husband had said anything? Then she accused me of harrassing her and altering my comment because I pointed out an error in her response. The post has been deleted. I'm insanely worried about the kids involved and the fact that so many adults in their lives are complicet or involved. How do you handle both these kinds of posts and the people who respond like she did?

Yes. Unfortunately, it's bound to happen. Some people out in the world need to make drama, knowing if it is real or not, it is another thing. But attention seeking can be someone's addiction, and they can go to extreme leangths. That said, if they do not get the reaction they are after, they can become rude and avoid and become defensive, making it a you issue. Hopefully, the kids are okay. My heart hurts for the babies and kids who get let down by the adults in their life. Sorry you had the experience. If it where me I would try to get as much information as possible to make actions that are needed. If that's not possible I have to let it go because it's taxing being an empath and move on to healthier conversations and people.

Bless you, as hard as it is to believe, sometimes there can be some awful people on here who make crappy posts up for a reaction and cause drama. Simply because they just want an argument. It's out of your control so I would just forget about it. I'm sorry it upset you, but the ones who want support and are genuine will be much more open to you. I hope you have a lovely day xx

It could all just be a totally made up lie

It’s sad, but you can’t kill yourself over ever unknown child in the world that may or may not exist. You’ll drive yourself crazy…that lady sounds crazy and i wouldn’t believe her answers even if she did answer you…ya know?
