Did any one else get told baby needs to be on left side of belly for delivery?

I had my midwife appt today and she came to check out my place because I’m 36 weeks so delivery should be soon and during she felt my stomach to feel where baby is and she told me I need to get baby to turn to my left side so she said his back should be against my left side and that his back is to the right. But this is my second child and I don’t remember her having that convo with my daughter, is there somthing wrong with him being on the right than left? Did anyone else’s midwife or doula or doctor tell them the same thing and if so how did you get baby to switch ?

I've never heard this before ever... If they're head down then it should all be straight forward and they will naturally get into position 🤔

@Ellie that’s why I had to ask because I don’t want to stress if I don’t need to cuz other than that’s he’s already in position in my pelvis and when I googled there was nothing on that so I’m like wth

Left side is marginally better, because of the rotations baby does on the way down. Right side might lead to more back labor.. My only concern here would be that I have a midwife who seems to want to control things, because it's senseless to worry over left vs right.

Yes, left side is supposed to be the easiest position for delivery. My kid was on my right side though. It wasn't an issue still had a natural vaginal birth.
