Tongue tie division

My LO (13 weeks old) had his TT division on Friday, he seemed ok over the weekend after it but last night he was very very unsettled and wouldn’t sleep in his next to me for longer than 30 mins which is very unlike him, usually he can go 1-2 hours at least after feeds. I’ve read online that potentially days 3-5 parents report feeding is difficult and I’ve seen that their tongue can start to be sore after 3 days since it’s like a workout for their new tongue but I can’t see a lot on this. Can anyone who has gone through TT division let me know if they remember a very unsettled baby a few days after? Trying to make sense of it all!

We did and a bit, but it's because they have to learn how to feed and get used to the tongue. Make sure you do the recommended massage for it not to reattach.

Thanks @Rasa - do you remember whether your LO was ok after it but then started to be unsettled a couple of days after? Or were they just unsettled straight away? Yes been trying to do the exercises 3 times a day, he just seems more resistant to me going under his tongue now but need to persist

She was very unhappy straight after, but a couple of days in, we managed to settle and a week later, all back to normal. The biggest difference is that she managed to gain 300g in a week compared to previously averaging only 50g. That also played a dig part . Once she got her fill and adjusted she was completely different and more settled, slept longer stretches a month in

@Rasa thank you ♥️
