Daddy’s boy 😢

Baby (6 months) doesn’t seem to enjoy my company…. I know, I’m always there and it’s not constant fun, I cut his nails, wash his face, get him dressed, do the housework around him while he plays. But I do take lots of time to really engage with him and play silly games, but he just looks away bored, or gives me a half smile. However, as soon as daddy comes through the door, his face lights up into the biggest giggle and is totally transfixed. I feel so jealous. As soon as he’s hungry he reaches for my chest, but after a feed attention is back to fun dad. I should feel lucky that my husband is so good with children, but I wish I had that magic with my son and that he would be more of a mummy’s boy. Especially as I do 95% of everything for him. Does anyone else feel this way?

We will have our season again

Im sure it will change, don’t forget babies don’t know they’re a separate person from us until 4-9 months of age so dad will be the first person they start to recognise as a separate person from themselves

My boy was like this until 4 months. Then it changed. Now, i get the biggest smiles and giggles, and if he wakes during the night, he only settles if i hold him.
