No I wouldn’t be happy with this either! My LB’s nursery change his nappy once in the morning and once in the afternoon (unless he’s done a poo and they change him again). I’d be raising it with the room leader/manager in a polite way and see if you see any improvements x
I definitely wouldn’t be happy with that! My boy goes for 8 hours and has about 4/5 changes a day, and straight away if he poos. X
I wouldn’t be happy with that at all and also it doesn’t sound like a nice environment. Could you look for an alternative? When we looked at nurseries we visited one that sounds like that, very chaotic and there was a baby walking about in a vest crying and no one attended to him it immediately put me off. I chose ours because it was a calming environment with less children and lots of staff x
I would be fuming and would have said something. When our LO started first two days we picked him up he had a dirty nappy they had left him in. We mentioned it, hasn’t happened since. So say something and I’m sure it will be heard
Why is it a constant for so many nurseries to do these kinds of things? It’s abysmal. I’m so sorry, I’d be fuming.
No. That's not ok. Definitely no. I have worked in a nursery and nappies are changed minimum 3 times, one in the morning, again after lunch and then after their nap and is nappynis full or with a poo they will be changed before going home. Talk to the staff. Follow your gut. If you aren't happy and things don't change better, change the nursery to have peace of mind. Good luck!
That's definitely not ok! At our nursery they do a nappy change pretty much immediately when they arrive and then they time it for every two hours unless they notice a poo.
