Moms of teens, are you looking forward to an empty nest?

I am the adoring mom of the best 15 y/o... but in the back of my mind there's a little countdown for 5 years or so, when I will be "free again". (Don't get me wrong: I love him and enjoy his company lots!)

My daughter and I are so close I know it's going to be tough for a bit

No teens here but I think I would be the opposite 🥺 😂

I have an 18 year old foster daughter and I was definitely ready for her to fly the nest for uni. She was ready to learn the next stage! She made us laugh when she complained about her flat mates not washing things up and leaving them by the sink!! And for leaving food to go mouldy in the fridge!! Hmmm....!! Love her to bits and she comes back monthly and phones plenty, so we have lots of contact with her, just fewer dirty plates and mould colonies!

I can’t wait

YES YES YES. Get out of my house. I have plans for your bedrooms.

I'm the opposite. We had a few pregnancy losses, so I'm worried about my son leaving and feeling like I lost my kids again.

@Brianna I'm sorry for your loss!

@SquishyMommy1 I'm moving in a different direction: we just downsized from a house to an apartment, and I can't wait to start living my nomad dreams!

@Marie thank you
