Question
My husband son is being almost 2 years in school . His mother has physical custody and they share custody . We checked his son’s report card and he was absent for 25 days last school year and tardy 17 times . The teacher also reported that the son doesn’t complete homework . So far this school year the son has good attendance but has been tardy 9 times . My husband is concerned that it’s the tardiness and the absences are the reason why the child is behind . How can he modify his parenting order to be able to be the one responsible for the son’s school attendance ?
Definitely! Back when Covid happened it was the second year of online school and BM still believed school was optional. We were week on week off schedule. Kids would be with us and passing their classes with no missing assignments. By the next week they were failing and had multiple missing assignments. It was a big deal in our case and helped with dad getting full custody to be with him during the week
