Are you still exclusively breastfeeding?

Just wondering how many are still exclusively breastfeeding as I saw a stat that suggests only 1% of U.K. babies are exclusively breastfed at 6 months but it was an old study so wondering what that looks like in this group :)!

Exclusively pumping but still going after 6 months! đź’—

Ebf and aiming to do a year (same as first baby) x

This was my aim but she wasn't getting sufficient milk due to missed tongue tie so I'm combi feeding. Expressed and formula

Pumping and formula. Would just be pumping but I have twins

That stat is inaccurate (as you can see from these results) because it counted any baby who had started solids, taken expressed milk or ever had a single bottle as no longer exclusively breastfed. I think a lot of mums would still consider their baby to be exclusively breastfed once they start solids or if they occasionally have pumped milk, especially by 6 months!

@Hattie I never knew this, I always thought 1% was ridiculously low! Thank you for sharing ❤️

Yes they haven’t run the survey for a long time now either so not sure how accurate it is anymore. I’m still EBF and tandem feeding with my nearly 3yo, but did introduce cow’s milk to her after she turned 1.

@Izzy I know I see this stat used all the time and it never made sense to me so I looked into it!
