I do yoga on the floor with music on and get interrupted every 2 mins by LO wanting to feed ans I just go with the flow and very persistent. I try to incorporate him if he's in the mood ie lifting him up on my legs or as my "baby weight" for Bridge lifts though lately he is upset if I play rather than just feed him. I don't have any energy I just do it anyway. I get no more than 1.5h sleep at any stint. No full rem cycle for at least since March. I just have a really active personality I think that's what it really comes down to and I know I have to prioritise it because its for my mental health not my appearance, I feel like so crap if I haven't had fresh air or moved my body! And I try to walk everywhere if possible My LO is a fireball of energy running and dancing, spinning, squatting, bouncing. Running on the spot so honestly he gives us a workout and it's so fun to teach him new moves every week and do them with him. His smile when we are all twerking together and the giggle omg ♥️
And totally agree with the above to take pressure off yourself I just wanted to honestly answer your question with what I do which is involve LO. Running around after him at the playground to make sure he doesn't wallop his head on something is a workout in itself Definitely it's harder after I've done a day at work but sometimes my back needs the stretch even more then.
Could you perhaps use your free 15 hours of childcare a week to hire a childminder or put him in another setting? You could do 2 hours a day the 4 weekdays he's with you and then you'd have time to exercise and shower. Even have a rest for a bit! At the weekends go on long family walks followed by running around and lifting a toddler as that's a workout in itself! Things like lifting them up for the Grand Old Duke of York! I know some gyms have a crèche which could be another option. Or could you and your husband stagger your lunch breaks. He watches baby and feeds baby and then you can do a YouTube home workout then? Just wanted to say that your body has done an amazing thing, and it's clear you're working so hard on your business too. You should be so proud of yourself 💕
I go to classes at my local gym in the evening or a weekend morning. I find the accountability of attending classes more motivating than just using the gym and even though I don’t always have the energy for it, you will gain more energy and feel better for doing it. Getting out for nice walks also help!
It's so hard when you're working/have your little one full time! I would give yourself a break because it sounds like you have very little time for exercise. I have my little one at home with me and I'm not working at the moment so I try to take him out twice per day in the pram, but that's about all the exercise I do really. I struggle with my weight as well, but I'm trying at the moment to focus on making small, positive changes to my diet as that is what is within my control, because I don't find the time now to go to the gym.
