Independent play

I will sit and play with my lil boy and read to him and stuff a couple of times a day but sometimes he sits and bum snuggles round and plays with his things himself and I'll sit and watch my program while he's doing so or get a few things done, I just feel bad sometimes that I'm leaving him to play but at the same time it's lovely that he does as then I get to use the loo or do stuff or just have 5 minutes obviously if he starts moaning then I'll Interact with him but I say if he's playing alone then just leave him for a while so he gets used to nit having all the attention all the time if you know what I mean just having a bit of mum guilt I think even though I know it's good for him just feel like is hould play with him all day and read with him all day or something

I think it's normal to feel mum guilt over everything! You're doing great 💓

My little girl is the same, happy playing independently but always feel super guilty for not playing with her the whole time x

Don't feel any mum guilt whatsoever you're creating a safe environment for him to explore and play! That's exactly what they need for development x

@Nicola @Gemma @Emily Thank you all do much I appreciate you all, just was having a super guilty day and needed to hear this I love watching him explore by himself and I know it's good for him but sometimes the creeping of omg I should be doing XYZ with him gets louder and louder but I also know there is so much time ahead to do so much with him 😊 thank you all x

I had this too. Don't worry it won't last 😆 enjoy while you can. You are doing great

@Veronica I'm trying thank you so much 😊
