Negative name comments

I think the name Hayden is lovely 💖 and people who don’t like it will form new positive associations with your little one once they meet him anyway! We’ve had some really negative reactions for our boy name choice (Beau) but I’m ignoring them because I love it ☺️

At the end of the day it’s your baby, it’s your decision I wouldn’t care less about other peoples opinions, if it’s a name you like then thats all that matters, other peoples opinions are not valid. I think its a lovely name x

I chose the name.Ozzy for my son. Everyone hated it, but I loved it. It suited him so much so I didn't care a bit about others opinions. Even his dad's lol. If that's his name, then that's his name!

My 10 year old is Hayden. But also if you like the name then that is all that matters. People always going to have something to say!

It’s a lovely name!! Ignore the comments. This is why I never tell people our baby name ideas. With our first, we made the mistake of telling our parents we like the name Cedric. My MIL hated it and my Dad said it was a “wimpy” name. Well we used the name because we loved it and also as a 🖕🖕🖕 to them. For this next baby we’re not telling anyone in our lives what the name is until she’s here.

I love the name Hayden - stick with it, it's your choice and no one else's. My Mother-in-Law laughed when I told her our chosen name (it's not remotely unusual nor funny). Then the next time my husband saw her she asked "so you're still going with chosen-baby-name?". Honestly I have no idea why people think to make these kind of comments 🤷🏼‍♀️

We've decided to not tell anyone the name we've chosen until she's born because I don't think I could deal with negative comments 😅 I love my mum, and she'd never do it maliciously, but if she didn't like the name we'd picked, we'd know about it and it'd upset me! Hayden is a lovely name, don't listen to anyone who says otherwise 😊 x

Our 2nd child is called Maverick, we received mostly negative comments like think about when he’s older etc etc, he’s 1 now and honestly everyone says how much he suits his name, we now get mostly positive comments about how unique it is and how much he lives up to his name😂 we’ve just added his baby brother, Chester to the mix too and my MIL says how that’s the weirdest of the 3😂 I definitely disagree, Mav’s name is definitely more out there than Chester 😂 our first born is called Lincoln- but honestly we gave up caring about others opinions on the boys’ names it’s us that are their parents at the end of the day 😊

People are so rude. Ask them what they would name their next kid, it normally gives a good indication that you just have different tastes because you wouldn’t choose that name for your child and that’s absolutely fine. I like to tell them this just to make them realise how rude it is 😂
