Christmas presents

Any cheap and thoughtful Christmas ideas? We don’t have extra money to splurge by any means, we live pay heck to paycheck on one tight income, don’t have extra funds to buy ourselves clothes, we have had the same clothes for years. Our situation sucks and I’m sure many can relate, i wish I could work to atleast have money to buy some “wants” but childcare is absurd and I have no family near by for me to work. Sorry rant over. With that being said we usually do Christmas presents for a good amount of people (my in-laws, my parents, 3brother in laws, my little sister, and 5 nieces and nephews aged 1-15.) I don’t do gifts for my two older sisters. If it were up to me I feel like there should be an age cut off haha sorry not sorry. I also don’t care for gifts myself, I just enjoy eating good food and spending time with family. But, I feel bad showing up on Christmas Eve empty handed, so we need to get strategic here, drop any ideas or suggestions please!!

Christmas socks, calendars, books, Christmas tree ornaments, are ones I've done before. Family gifts like board games or card games are also great! Chocolate oranges, gum, chapstick, beanie babies are also easy and fun. I've done 1 box of duplos for the siblings.

When budget is tight or there's too many people i make everyone cookies & candles! the kids I'd buy gifts for

Ooh I love all the ideas!! Thank you ladies ❤️

My family only buys for kids. We've done little inexpensive homemade gifts like ornaments or fudge in the past. But I can't imagine having to buy for every adult. I do buy for my parents. And my grandpa still gives us a little cash haha. But otherwise just the young folks.

I do all homemade food which is typically a loaf of bread with either jam or butter sometimes both (way easier to make than you’d think). It might not be great for the teenagers in your life but parents, grandparents, and friends have all loved it in the past.

@Rachel Yup I’ve brought this matter up to my husband regarding his younger siblings who are also between ages 16-21 I don’t think they necessarily need Christmas presents anymore, (I think it’s more exciting for younger kids) but he insists on it. To my defense my older sisters never got me presents and I was never upset over it or ever even realized it because my parents always got us gifts. I do agree homemade treats might have to do this year. ❤️ or buying one gift for both our parents, something they both could use -any ideas?

My parents are divorced so sorry I don't have any ideas for you 😂. If your siblings are willing to go in with you on it, the aura digital frames are really neat. My siblings and I did that for my mom for her 60th birthday this year. But they aren't cheap.

I completely feel u, I have a big family and it's hard on a tight income so wat Ive done in the past is I buy small stockings and give that as a gift, fill it up with things they love, $10 gift cards, or even buy perfume/cologne sets at the store and put one item in each person's stocking that way u can stretch ur dollar

If you’re in the US, Dollar Tree!
