Do you have an emergency bag ready at home ?

It's a bit of a weird one but it always crossed my mind what would I do if there was a fire at home and we need to get out asap! My baby will be freezing and cold ill have no money ect. I have been thinking about making a grab and go emergency bag. I guess like a baby changing bag but in there I'll have blankets, money, extra clothes 1 pair at least for each of us for summer or winter, a phone charger and maybe just put in a couple bottles of water and snacks.. It's a survival bag! I'm only thinking about this again as there was a fire in Islington this morning in some flats and I'm thinking imagine having to evacuate at 4am in this weather with our little babies... We don't have time to get dressed, get them dressed, pack food or milk for them or will be terrible!!! But it's this crazy talk 😅🤣? My husband thinks there is no need but I honestly feel nervous about this stuff now, I want to be one step ahead because you never know what can happen overnight all the fires I see on the news happen overnight or early hours of the morning when we are not prepared!

I just have 1 bottle of ready made milk and a blanket always in the changing bag in case we ever had to rush to hospital or anything at least I know the next feed is covered but it could be grabbed in any such emergency I guess, you could always add a phone charger and some snacks for you too save needing a whole extra bag perhaps

If it gives you peace of mind I can't see why not. God forbid it ever did happen but youre right, at least you would be prepared

When I lived in Melbourne, we were evacuated constantly - I mean constantly. People carrying their kids / cats etc. like Flo, my pram bag has bare essentials in, but you could add some more layers now it’s cold.

@Hayley @Flo @Jodie Thanks ladies! Yep I'm going to make a bag and keep it in the car and yes good idea to just pack some bits in the buggy but the buggy is so packed already! 😅. I was just reading the article this morning and they had to evacuate this morning at 4am in 0 degrees! That would be terrible 😪

I've never really considered it. But I have a bag with a change of clothes spare bottle and blankets in. I exclusively pump but I have some milk stored at my in laws house so I know i would have milk to use

I have spare clothes, nappies and formula milk at my parents house which is just a road away and the buggy stays in the car. I have a pre packed pram bag which has minimal stuff too incase I need to grab it. Otherwise not planning on making an emergency bag but good to be prepared if it gives you peace of mind why not

I’m going to make a bag also now how have I never thought about this 😂
