Milk might help, i have tried it and it works temporarily but I am lactose intolerant and ends up triggering it more. OH green tea with peppermint helps to an extent aswell dx
I tried everything but ended up with Omeprazole from the GP! GP and midwife say it's perfectly safe to take☺️ cx
If the heartburn is making you nauseous then omeprazole is probably the best thing. I mean try rennies or gaviscon first as less hassle than getting a script but omeprazole is safe to take in pregnancy xx
Thank you so much everyone! I will try your suggestion and get medical advice/prescription if it doesn't improve. 😩
I took rennies through my first pregnancy quite a bit and they helped so much! I know lots of others who did too x
I use Peptac as I'm trying to avoid Omeprazole as it seems it can inhibit absorption of iron and other key mins/vits xx
Ice cream really helped me!
I tried gaviscon and i couldn't hack the taste. I use rennies which definitely helps. I find mine is worse when I haven't eaten for a while and bread triggers it too
Honestly the best thing I found apart from liquid gaviscon was extra strong mints!! the trebor i think theyre called, green packet. They helped ease it off so much for me personally however liquid gaviscon was the only thing thats made much difference xx
