Burping 😅

Hey ladies! How long does it usually take your little ones to bring up wind? I feel like I spend half the day trying to bring up my little girls wind it’s exhausting 😂😫😍

Sometimes she does it in a couple of minutes & then sometimes it takes forever!!😩 the other night I spent 20 mins & then stood up with her and she just did the biggest burp from moving position! Super frustrating! x

Try infacol every other feed it’s a lifesaver x

How do you burp typically?

So we took our little one to a chiropractor yesterday and she gave us some tips, as he has a tongue tie he takes in too much air so one of the tips - we have to have his back to our chest and put one hands holding his body and the other hand under his bum and do circular motions, you can hear noises that sounds like he’s trying to catch his breath but it’s actually air being released. Can manage to get both trumps and burps out too! He seems a lot more settled afterwards but sometimes he is very uncomfortable but it’s just the process of getting it up 😭 Wonky windy technique also helps us a lot too

We had the same problem and tried gripe water and he would burp strait away after having it!

@Amy that was my little girl earlier sat there for a good 30 minutes and the my partner took her and without even burping her she burped, he looked so smug😂🤣 xx

@Louise We have started using that this week x

@Adrianna either with her sat in my lap patting/rubbing her back then will swap to over the shoulder x

@Elise I don’t think she’s old enough for that yet, she’s just turned a month old but she was prem so only weighs 6pound 🥰xx

I try to burp her for 30 seconds or so and if she does not, I just let her be. During the night she falls asleep on the breast so I don’t burp her. Usually she just burps randomly here and there.

@Marina if I leave my little girl she tends to throw up everywhere and I’m so paranoid about choking 😅😫

@Chelsea try not to worry about choking (easier said than done I know!) but if you are following all the guidance and getting her to sleep in a crib with no loose blankets etc she will be alright! Babies have a reflex to turn their heads when they need to be sick, when I found that out it made it a bit easier to relax. Another thing I’ve found is if you are having trouble with burping, try sitting her completely upright with one hand pressed flat against her back to straighten it out and the other hand supporting her head/neck and give it a few mins - my son lets out the biggest burps that way and it means I’m not sat there for hours patting and rubbing his back! Xx

@Ellie thank you lovely!💜💜
