One what doesn’t use WiFi
We use the Babysense and would 100% recommend
We have one that doesn’t use WiFii (to avoid hacking etc).
We have an angel care monitor that came with a sensor pad which we used for our first born. Planning to just move it over to the new babies room when they eventually start using their cot x
I could not survive without my owlet sock personally! I have a non WiFi monitor though as the WiFi ones often are on your phone so you couldn’t use it at the same time and WiFi is temperamental
I’ve got ieGeek cam off Amazon, can use it on the app and the screen, so handy as it records when there’s motion so I can check when my little one wakes up(he’s 14 months btw) but it’s been amazing since he was in his own room x
I was going to go without because we were room sharing but my husband said no we’re getting one and went and bought a Hubble from Walmart. I like doing research before I buy items like that but I love the Hubble. It’s got an app so it’s easy to check on her if I go outside for chores or am watching tv in another room. Took it down to my moms when I had to leave her there for a weekend away and I could look in on her with grandma.
We have a v tech one. Owlet sock people swear by but I think it’s anxiety inducing for many by having so much information available. It’s not necessary especially as it’s crazy expensive. But if you have the money and that’s what you like then that’s your choice ☺️
LOVE the Owlet sock and still use to this day when 3yo is unwell, but the actual camera doesn’t have a base unit so you’re relying on your phone (read battery) to view the feed. I liked having a separate device to keep an eye on. Edit: actual monitor died earlier this year but Motorola just don’t do them anymore so I’m also on the hunt and non the wiser 😅
Babysense is a good monitor but we do the owlet sock too
We had a BT one for first but have just upgraded to the Babysense one with two cameras
We have a great netvue indoor security camera (£24 Amazon) it’s brilliant!!!
We had a wired video monitor (not baby monitor). This was 14 years ago, so we wired it up to our tv no WiFi or Bluetooth just wired like i think it was meant to be more security one for inside/outside but worked as a baby monitor for us.
This was suggested to me, so I'll answer from experience as I have two kids and have done quite a bit of research. For my first we use Cubo Ai and for my second we use Nanit. Both are great monitors, though Nanit is much easier to set up when travelling or if you're staying the night at family let's say. Takes less effort to get it up and running. We also got a great deal on the Nanit from Natural Baby Shower where we got the camera, travel stand, wall mount, breathing monitor swaddle and two bands for about £250. I will say though, I had to speak to customer service twice about the temp and humidity suddenly not displaying when using the travel stand. They were great though and immediately sent a replacement stand and we haven't had any issues since then. I never had to speak to Cubo about anything and the monitor is about 4 yeard old now. 1/2

2/2 It's worth noting that I opted for Nanit cause the Cubo breathing bundle was much pricier and I wanted to be able to monitor baby's breathing. I never used it 😅 my little one was in the next to me until about 3.5/4 then moved her to her own room and with me being a light sleeper in combo with Nanit picking up the sound great, I could hear her breathing. But I had the comfort of knowing that I could monitor her breathing whenever using the band. I've read a lot about the owlet giving out false alerts about baby not breathing, being inaccurate, and freaking parents out. Haven't experienced it for myself though.
I never bothered with my first as it made me worry too much! She was in our room for the first 3 months anyway so didn’t feel the need for one then when she was in her own room I just checked on her every so often. I always reminded myself that baby monitors are relatively new and probably not worth the extortionate amount of money! I think I would feel differently if I had a premature/poorly baby mind x
Thanks for everyone’s replies! So this is my 4th but 10 year’s difference and I had the old style angelcare sensor pad with them but now there’s so much on the market plus conflicting advice on if one is even needed. I know I won’t bother with the camera as she’s going to be in our room for at least a year
We’re still using the Babysense HD at 2
