Does baby moving cause gas to move?

Hi everyone! Baby's quite active, and it's definitely baby kicking me as it's not like gas and I can feel it hitting my hand. However, I'm also really gassy! Does anyone know if being gassy causes more movement, or whether baby kicking can increase gas moving?! Or is it just a coincidence that I'm gassy and getting booted in the gut?

I’m literally texting my friend this exact situation right now 😂 I think it’s a coincidence that we’re gassy and getting kicks. I hate it cause it makes it hard to distinguish between them and then I get worried 😅

Same! Then there will be one random huge boot and I'll realise it's baby. I woke up in the night with it as well!

My first kicks at 19 weeks felt like gas popping and now they’re only getting stronger! I used to only feel them when going for a wee in the night so thought it had to be gas for sure but now he kicks a lot!

Yeah they're defos kicks as have got stronger and pronounced since 18wks
