Engagement?
So I was looking at my pregnancy notes today after my midwife appointment and it’s said “Engagement 4/5” does anyone know what it means?I know it means baby’s engaged, but why does it say 4/5?

How do you see your midwife notes?
Baby’s head has just started to go into your pelvis. It’s felt/“measured” by dividing baby’s head into 5ths, she can feel most of your baby’s head outside your pelvis and a little portion of it has started to descend in

It means baby is starting to move into the pelvis, the further down they move the lower the first number. 0/5 means fully engaged and ready for labour
