If a bubble mailer is 3/4 of an inch thick or less after packing, it's considered an envelope. The USPS calls mail that's less than 3/4 inch thick a "flat" envelope, and they ask that it be mailed instead of shipped. But if it’s over 3/4 an inch thick with the item inside then it’s a parcel/package I believe

I only know that info from small business friends LOL

@Parker 又 lol how are we supposed to know that? I wonder what happens if you put it in the wrong box 🤔

Sometimes it’ll come back to your sending address or sending post office & they’ll mail you a slip telling you to come in, normally you’ll just need to put more stamps onto it for it to be “paid up” into the right category Sometimes it’ll go through with no issues lololol

I ended up standing in line for like 20 minutes just to ask what box to put it in 🤷

The post office worker said it was a parcel, of course! It was maybe an inch thick when filled. Lol! I'm glad the results are split and it's not just me who finds it confusing

The post office people are normally very nice! (There’s at least always one nice person in them hahahah)
