He could have a urine infection potentially! They’re hard to diagnose in toddlers. Cold hands are probably a side effect of his temp but take him to the hospital just incase!
I’m just worried if I take him to the hospital they will laugh me off because he is eating kinda and drinking kinda :/
I also don’t want to scare you at all but this happened with my son twice. The first was Kawasaki disease last December and the second was pneumonia last month🙈 if it carries on to day 5 please take him to the hospital and don’t let them send you home until you have an answer🤍
@Elli-j yea I get you! But better to stand firm and insist they take a look at him especially if you’re worried! Good luck!
I’ll check him in the morning and if it’s still high I’ll take him x
It could be Roseola https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/roseola/ When the fever goes check for a rash But yeah if he still has a fever at day 5 take him in and like Karinna said don't leave without a clear answer.
It could be many things but the fact that the temperature is still coming back means he’s fighting an infection of some kind. Is the temperature coming back down after medicine? And then coming back or is it not coming down at all? If it’s coming down then going back up and he seems well, going to the toilet, eating and drinking etc. then I think 5 days would be the max before going back (so 5 days from Tuesday) but obviously he’s still little and you don’t know what it is so there is no harm in taking him to the hospital if you are worried or ringing 111 who will most likely tell you to go to see someone in person. I’m assuming they checked chest, throat, eats at the doctors at least?
His temp won’t go down with medicine. One minute he is eating drinking and happy the next he is screaming for hours and hours and doctor checked everything said I’m sorry but I’m puzzled can’t find anything wrong with him and I’ve called 111 4 hours ago no one has called me
Personally I would call 111 and get some advice. It may be that he needs some anti biotics xx
How is he doing today?
He slept through the night and seems to be back to normal which is good. I called 111 and they didn’t even ring me back
I'm shocked they didn't call you back especially as he is so young, that's terrible. Glad to hear he is doing better
Me too, he was making me worry :/
My son was a bit like that recently and after a few days had the runs (3x over 48-72 hours apart) - turned out to be a tummy bug. I was convinced it was anything but as he didn’t have any typical symptoms.. dr said that’s what it was and then he gave it to me and I can confirm 🥴
