No movement

What can I do to encourage my baby to move? I’ve not felt her since this morning which is really out of character. Triage won’t see me until it’s been 24 hours, I’m really worried 😢 I’ve tried cold drinks, sugary snack, bouncing on birthing ball

That's crazy that they won't see you, have you asked to speak to the sister? Or are there other hospitals nearby? Know it's not ideal but could pretend you're not home so looking at closer hospitals especially if in the same NHS trust. Best of luck hope all is well x

When I called in for the same problem they told me to come in straight away! I agree with Eleanor, please get seen ASAP

Yeah I’d be rocking up to triage and demanding they see me. My hospital maternity triage have been amazing tbh and have seen me within 20 minutes each time I’ve gone in. Don’t settle for less at your Trust!

Yeah that’s mad, my triage always tells me to come in right away

Do not wait 24hrs. Go into triage. I don’t know who you spoke to but that’s incorrect advice you’ve been given. Ring again or just go straight down there

Better yet, just turn up 🤷🏼‍♀️ that’s ridiculous of them to say x

That is so strange that they won’t see you yet. I always find that my baby likes moving when I’m in the shower. Maybe try a different temperature on your bump. If you’ve been active then try staying still for a while or if you’ve been still then try being active. I hope that you and baby are good.

Also I forgot to say you are not supposed to try and make the baby move with cold drinks etc as that could spur movement because baby is reacting and mask the underlying issue causing the reduced movement. That is the NHS advice. Def go to triage and fuck whoever you called that said not to

I’m super shocked that they said 24hours, my midwife said within an hour of the usual time if I can’t feel movement to call triage. Sometimes I get in the bathtub and lie down, I notice he moves then. 🤷🏻‍♀️
