@Katie oh great thanks for the info. Will defo look into the radiator xx
Our house is freezing- same issue, just doesn’t retain heat despite putting in new insulation etc. our son (2 years old) room gets to around 13/14 without doing anything. I agree with above with oil filled radiator heater. We have one in our older son’s room and one in our room with newborn (born this week). You can get ones with temperature sensors so they turn off at 18 degrees etc so you don’t waste too much money. It also retains heat better as oil filled rather than electric.
Yes! Still waiting on baby but dreading the cold. Our house is awful for keeping the heat in and costing a bloody fortune to keep warm, my partner says to stop stressing but I'm like 💸💸💸 Same as Leonie, my little girls room gets lovely and warm and drops to around 14 in the night! We have a little electric heater but I am thinking the same about an oil one!
Yeah ours is a very old house it’s freezing once the heatings been off an hour or so. We’ve got a log burner in the living room so have that on most of the day but only put the heating on once in the morning and once in the evening before we’re going to bed so it’s warmer up there for us. Then maybe an hour in the night. I’ve just been putting her in a vest, baby grow and sleep bag with extra mits on her hands she’s been fine so far and she’s 9 days old today x
@Tasha we've got a log burner too and an old house, the front room gets so hot with it on I keep worrying little one is too hot even in a vest lol 😆 what does yours wear with the log burner going please?
My house isn't too cold. However we have an oil filled radiator that we've put in our bedroom that we're leaving on low overnight instead of having heating on for the whole house all night, just through the cold snap. We also will put a single layer of cellular blanket over baby as well as a 2.5 tog sleeping bag if it's too cold
