3 under 2

Morning ladies, This week I found out that we are not only expecting one baby but two! They are non identical. They said they are in 2 different sacs but I’m unsure if they have different placentas or the same? We currently have a little boy that will be 1 on the 17th December. We wanted them to be quite close in age but now we have found out we won’t have 2 under 2 but 3 under 2 my anxiety is through the roof. Does anybody else have 3 under 2? How do you cope 🙈 any tips/ products/ best things to buy? Would love some recommendations and people to talk to who are going through/gone through similar 🤍

I’ve got 3 under 2 x

Mine are 1 and 2 now.. I bought a double pram and another swing chair, everything else they share/shared, and of course a few extra baby grows xx

Feel free to pop me a message, it’s a mixed emotion feeling finding out there’s 2 when you’ve already got 1 I remember crying I can’t have 2 cause how’s 3 car seats going to fit but you just manage so don’t worry, it’s lovely, to watch and be a part of x

Congratulations

No experience with the age my eldest was 3yo when my twins arrived. One thing I’ve seen a lot of multiples parents with another young child do is sling one baby and have the other and the toddler in a double pram. A twin feeding pillow has been a god send for me! The twins trust has lots of support and also Facebook groups for each stage of parenting multiples. There’s also lots of local twins groups so it’s worth looking if you have a local one

Thanks ladies! Yeh I have read about the double feeding pillow and will definitely get another swing chair as I can imagine them being a saviour! Was debating the pram situation but will probably go for the double and then Iv got my son a trike for his birthday so he can ride his trike if we are out as a family! It’s still so early but my brain over thinks about all of these things! The car situation was my first thought! 🙈 Thank you so much for all your replies! It makes me feel much calmer 🤍

I got a Zoe triple stroller and it’s been a god send. At first I put the 2 babies in 1 bassinet and the toddler in the chair, but when they could sit I bought a triple it really made life so much easier, my older girl was not quite there for a a seat attachment x

I would also wrap both twins in a fabric wrap carrier so could carry 2 at once x

No advice but my little boy is 2 and we’re expecting twins! Were having a boy and a girl, separate sacks, separate placenta and have scans every 4 weeks. We found out at the 12 week scan. Currently 24 weeks! Still haven’t got my head around it!! Such a shock! My plan is a double buggy and a buggy board, I have heard when they’re tiny they can share one of the pram seats and toddler can go in the other, but to be honest other than a twin feeding pillow - no clue really! X

@Ebony the car situation was my first thought. Both me and my husband had got new cars 4 weeks before we found out it was twins (we’d had a scan that said there was only 1 🙈) neither of which would fit 3 car seats…..we ended up having to change the smaller car to a Citroen c4 spacetourer to get 3 car seats in! Just be prepared for them not being able to share everything even from early on. I know others have suggested sharing a bassinet on the pram and wrapping together however my twins were 7lb 14 and 7lb at birth. Theres no way 2 of them would fit in the same bassinet and while I can and do wrap them together (and am experienced baby wearing and wore my 3yo up until I was about 18 weeks with the twins) theres no way I’d be able to do things like go round the shops or walk the dog with both of them wrapped and still feel safe and comfortable

Same here i have a 22 month old toddler and 6 month old twins its hard at the start but will get easier ! As mothers we can do anything and we make it everything possible!
