Nap time

When counting how long your LO has been asleep, do you count the time it's take them to fall asleep? My LO falls asleep quite easy but then wakes within 30 mins, I then go in and settle her again but we've just spend 30 minutes of me going in and out trying to settle her. So had she had a 30 minute nap or 1 hr. I'm thinking to count just 30 mins but she's still so tired but just fighting it

I count each nap 1.5-2h, doesn't matter my LG sleeps/ cries/ needs to support to be back to sleep, everything includes in that timeframe. My LG is the same like yours, easy to fall asleep but hard to go back to sleep, but I still let her wake up when time is up, depends on days and can be flexible 15-30mins for each nap. Sleep circle of a baby is 30-45 mins so it is normal if they wake up I think, the only difference is some babies can go back to sleep themselves and some need further help.

I don't bother resettling to sleep. My LB naps for around 30-40 minutes, always has, wakes up wide awake and I'd be there forever trying to get him back to sleep. We could genuinely get through the entire wake window with me just trying to get him back down. So I just accepted the short nap life and base our days around that. He seems to be doing alright with it and he's happier without me trying to put him to sleep again.
