Thanksgiving Baby 🦃💕

I will be having an induction starting Wednesday (27th) so my guess is babygirl will be born sometime that evening or early next day Thanksgiving! Reason being elective induction due to scheduling we have at home would complicate things a lot more if we waited until she was naturally ready. Only a couple days from 40 weeks at that point though

Baby #2 for me

My induction is Thanksgiving night! Baby #1, gestational diabetes. But I'll be 38w5d so close enough for me

My birthday is the 28th and my mom has been rooting for me to have my baby boy on my birthday 😂 (Due 12/9) I will likely have an induction the following Monday due to him measuring big but still hoping he’ll make his way out naturally closer to my birthday haha! We also have a 16 month old at home so I feel you wanting to know when to expect your new baby!

@Sierra while i am considering induction also and getting feedback from ladies here: are they checking ur cervix for ripening and dilation? Where are u at? Is ur body naturally getting ready and progressing towards birth? Or still closed?

@Katia they checked my cervix last appointment a few days ago so hospital would know where I was at when booking the induction to compare when I get there. At that appointment my cervix was still closed. I'm going in the night before (Tue) for ripening and the next morning (Wed) they will start induction meds I'm assuming pitocin. I had an induction with my first baby also but due to blood pressure complications. It all went very well and honestly I'm happy about another induction. My experience last was great as the meds/procedures went at a natural enough pace. My body didn't feel rushed as it still took me around 14 hours from start (also wasn't dilated at all) to delivery. I also got the epidural and slept through the labor a solid few hours so that helped a lot too, woke up to being ready to push. So I have a positive experience with it so far, and I hope with whatever you decide, that you know induction isn't scary and I hope your labor and delivery goes well!

@Katie Happy early birthday!! And we can hope for a birthday twin, that'd be fun! 😂 I also have a 17 month old!!

@Sierra thank you for sharing 🙏 Did u have to do the dilation ball with ur first?

@Christina awesome! So exciting and good to know I may not be the only one I've heard from that has a baby so close to Thanksgiving! So sorry to hear about the gestational diabetes, but you're almost there at least. 💕 wishing you a smooth labor, delivery and healing!

@Katia happy to share 🙏 I did use the dilation ball for a bit and it seemed to help a little but nothing tremendous. They then needed to use the dilation balloon and that did a lot of it for me
