Purees/Finger foods BLW

My son is almost 38 weeks old. I'm trying my best to figure out how to add "big kid foods" to his diet. I just don't understand without putting myself into an anxiety attack. What does everyone's feeding routines look like? Any advice would be helpful. I don't know if it makes a difference in routine, but my son is strictly formula fed. (Too many people were pushing me too hard to EBF, and it tanked my production around the 12-week mark)

Start with foods that you're able to easily squish between your fingers, or that are able to dissolve in their mouth. I tried giving my baby versions of things to learn to be able to bite, but he would put a large chunk in his mouth before trying to bite which gave me anxiety. So instead I started cutting his food up very small and just gave him small amounts, since they will grab a handful to put in their mouth. You could also start just mashing the foods up so it's like purees but thicker because you're not adding water or formula. And then putting that on their highchair table so they could grab it, but it's not chunks of foods so baby is less likely to choke on.

We usually do about 4-5 bottles today and 3 meals (breakfast , lunch and dinner ) and sometimes a snack as well !

We do purées for breakfast because he is still waking up and not wanting to do much. Snacks throughout the day (crackers, puffs, baby crackers) then I usually try to give him our dinner at night with one of those mesh feeders. Works well for us. I also fallow us with at 4-6 oz bottle depending on how much he ate.
