Anxiety relating to workplace

I'm an ICU nurse. I work in a non-friendly environment, but I'm managing it, although my mental state is not always great whenever I'm at work due to how mean my workplace is. I have a 3.4-year-old child who has been showing signs of wanting a sibling. My husband and I have been reassuring her, participating in her pretend plays, and taking her to friends with younger kids, which she really loves and would always ask us to take her to their houses. This makes me sad. We are both ready for another child and even in better positions. However, I get anxious and withdrawn anytime I think of my workplace including how I'll need to cope during pregnancy. We have started trying, but I can't stop thinking about my workplace. Plus, has anyone else been in this kind of situation? If yes, how did you manage it? If no one has experienced this before, Pls tell me how to cope. I can't any longer delay my joy or deprive my family. Thank you.

I would say go ahead and do you. Do you think they will remember you for putting your life on hold and all the hard work. You can always look at your skills and go another direction or another job post baby. I know as I faced a horrible work environment when I returned back and and a manager who dislikes me, but the only thing I can plan to do is pivot. It will all work out in the end, trust your future more and be brave

I would think of potentially looking at another role, which is more family friendly and less stress. However you can always go to occupational health and speak to them if you get pregnant and find it hard, they can put support in place, hope this helps x
