How old is baby now?
No! They had a cephalohematoma at birth but that’s gone now. No jaundice or anything.
4 weeks
It’s not completely abnormal, if it’s concerning you obviously bring it up to your pediatrician! Be your babies advocate even if it ends up being normal. When I had my son, he wouldn’t even wake up to feed for the first few days. The pediatrician at the hospital also told me, excessive sleepiness is common if you had an epidural for labor. As long as baby is eating and gaining weight it shouldn’t be an issue and they will likely have longer wake windows as the days pass!
hey mama , my baby boy ( 2 months) was the exact same way. i would have to wake him every 2 hours to feed because he would not wake up on his own. as they grow , they will develop a better understanding and rhythm of waking up to eat. but if you’re concerned about baby , i would definitely contact your pediatrician just to be sure !
Newborns sleep a lot. It’s normal. They have a lot of growing to do and a lot of the growing happens during sleep. Don’t stress!
