Healthy purée

My baby just turned 6 months and is now able to try purées. What are your recommendations for healthy store bought ones or is it just better to do some homemade ones??

I think homemade is always better (up to you) I blend my fruit/veggies with breastmilk or formula works just as fine

I just give mine home made ones xx

I have a couple of store brought in the house for emergencies but we homemake a freeze our. I ran out last week but was also in bed ill so couldn't make any to rebuild the supply. My HV said that baby's who only get store bought pouches tend to not like the actual food due to the taste difference. I make some broccoli and pea purre the other day and compared the colour to the store bought one. The HM was a nicer looking green and my little girl preferred it over the store

Home made purees such as veg or fruit blended with milk, or weetabix banana porridge. I keep store bought for emergencies only.

I've given a few of Ella's kitchen purées which I've found good

Not sure if they are available in America tho

I think if you have the possibility of making your own, that will always be healthier without all the added additives for longer shelf life, and it tastes better too. If you have to buy already made and care about healthier options, I’d research which ones don’t have heavy metals in them. A lot of them do. When I wanted something when I was out on the go, I use to buy once upon a farm pouches. Only downside is you need to keep them refrigerated.
