Struggling to find time to eat. 😞

Hey guys, I'm really needing some advice. I have a 2 month baby boy. I love him to death. We are currently BF almost exclusively ( a bottle here and there). I've been having a hard time trying to eat. I've been so busy trying to take care of him that I don't always have time to eat or make something. He's cluster feeding right now and it's almost impossible to have enough time to make something until he's hungry again. My fiance works all day, but tries his best to take over cooking to make sure I'm fed. When I do finally get a chance to eat, I feel like it's never enough and I'm always starving It's just getting out of hand because I get hangry and it's not helping my ppd. Any suggestions on how I should approach this?

I had this at the start! Especially when my baby was contact napping and feeding all day. I bought cereal bars. A few different ones. Kept them always next to me and at least I had that! The hunger is unreal but it’s because your body really needs that to make milk so make this a priority ♥️

For breakfast I sometimes make some overnight oats it’s something quick and easy and could fill you up. But me personally when i make breakfast I bring him in his swinger to the kitchen with me while I make something quick like an egg or bagel. Make sure you take care of yourself love

I second the overnight oats, means there's no prep involved but also can be eaten one handed if you're feeding or contact napping. You can add lots of good stuff in too, seeds, fruit so you're getting all your nutrients in especially while breastfeeding. I also stocked up on snacks too like granola bars but I did end up a bit sick of them. Maybe other things like cold pasta salad, smoothies that you could batch make and then grab a portion at time. Fill them up with fruits/veggies etc so they're extra filling as well as for the nutrients

I kept a caddy full of high calorie, relatively nutritious (sometimes you just need the crisps/chocolate!) snacks next to me on the couch when he was breastfeeding so if I didn't get a chance for a meal I could at least keep topped up with snacks. It wasn't great but better than nothing!

I remember this so well. I used to make myself a packed lunch the night before and it really helped!! It gets so much easier 💙

I bought a protein shake and that really helps to pick me up with zero preparation involved ! Also have a pot of mixed nuts next to you all the time, bananas, yoghurt (full fat) all these are easy to eat and healthy whilst breastfeeding ❤️ having a proper meal is hard, if you can perhaps try to prep a slow cooked meal just before you go to bed so it’s ready for the day after ? It might require a bit of chopping but hopefully not too much time consuming! Don’t feel bad for grabbing a ready meal either! Eating that is better than not eating at all especially when breastfeeding xx
