Hey. I was the same. At a private 6 week scan it was a complete shock, (tho they seemed to think I was 8wks) then the next two weeks of scans
It took me pretty much a few days after then the blood came & a week later happened naturally

My second m/c I had zero symptoms , the odd uncomfortable period pain but super mild. More like a bloated feel after a big meal
No pain no blood., so had to go via the medically managed

Sending love

I had a scan at 13 weeks and was told baby died at 9 weeks. I’d had no symptoms of miscarriage, was still getting all the pregnancy symptoms and was really sick still etc.
I didn’t wait to find out how long it would take for my body to naturally miscarry, I chose to have surgical management 2 days after I found out
I’m sorry you’re going through this :( feel free to message xx

Sorry for your loss.
I had to wait a month between finding out about my missed miscarriage and having the surgery because I also had pneumonia so wasnt well enough for anaesthetic.
I never had any symptoms of miscarriage or bleeding in all that time. God knows how long it would have taken to happen naturally for me - I think I'd have probably gotten sepsis first.

I am so sorry. That was the hardest moment of my life. Lean on your support system.

I Went for a scan at 12 weeks, 5 days. Baby died around 8 weeks 2 days. I started bleeding at 13 weeks 3 days. So I had carried my dead baby inside me for 5 weeks before my body realized and I was able to pass the fetus.

Baby passed at approx 9+5. I found out when I went in for my 12 week scan. I had been sicker in my other pregnancies so I already had less symptoms than before, but my body wouldn’t recognize it. This was 12/20 and I finally went in for a d&c on 1/6 after taking the abortion pills the OB prescribed me. They said the farther along you are it may be harder for your body to pass it with the pills if it’s not recognizing that the baby is dead.

Sorry for your loss. :(

So sorry to hear this. I found out at 12 week scan that baby had most likely passed at 7 weeks. Had no symptoms whatsoever. By ‘16 weeks’, my body had still not miscarried, nor shown any signs so I had a D&C.

Last year unfortunately I had a missed miscarriage. It's called missed because your body doesn't know it's happened and still think baby is alive. I lost my baby at 9week 6days and I didn't get any bleeding after over a week of being told this. I had the surgery to remove and mentally this was best option for me. X

I found out at the first ultrasound that they couldnt find a heartbeat. They took my blood and checked my hormones from that day to a week later to find out they were indeed dropping. I started bleeding another week later but on and off and had to have a d&c to complete the process. But I got pregnant with my daughter soon after.

Hi all, reading all your stories and it's very sad that so many of us are going through this. I just found out that there's no heartbeat for my pregnancy.
How long after you concieved your rainbow baby?

I’m so sorry you’re going through this, it completely sucks and no-one can say anything to make it better.
I would really recommend Zoe Clark-Coates books and The Worst Girl Gang Ever podcast and Facebook groups
My husband and I needed a lot of time to grieve and then I got a new job so we couldn’t start trying until after I’d been in that job a certain amount of time.
I miscarried in June 23 and got pregnant with our rainbow in Sept 24 but we hadn’t been trying - got pregnant on our first try both times
I’m now 30 weeks pregnant x

Is this normal??

I’m 29 weeks pregnant and having really aching legs and they’re all lumpy and swollen. Above the knee and behind the knee . Should I be worried ? My legs have never looked like this up until a few days ago. ??

Induction experience

I just wanted to share my experience with being induced as I wasn’t sure what to expect and thought it may help others.

I opted for the foley balloon which was inserted at 8am Saturday morning, I had to stay in hospital due to hypertension and protein urine however usually you can just go home once this has been done. The insertion of the balloon was not painful, was slightly uncomfortable as there was slight pressure. I actually found having the cervix checked prior to be worse (again not painful at this point just uncomfortable) The balloon had little effect and after having it removed I was still only 1cm. Removal also was pain free and hardly even noticeable.

I then had my first dose of the gel and definitely noticed a difference, I started experiencing period like cramps almost immediately however they were light and manageable. After 6 hours I had another cervix check and although my cervix was soft it was still only 1cm and was only open at the front. I had another dose of the gel and felt an increase in pressure and more intense cramping where I now required pain relief (codeine). After another 6 hours I had another cervix check and I had now dilated to 2-3cm however was still quite difficult to get all the way through so a third gel was recommended which I agreed to.

Almost immediately I noticed the difference and was in considerable pain, I had paracetamol and codeine however the contractions had now become intense and a lot closer together (around 3 minutes apart). After a couple of hours I had my last cervix check and was 4cm and taken down to the Labour ward to have my waters broken and an epidural.

I had been in my room for approx 20minutes when my waters broke by themselves and I was now 10cm and actively pushing…. There was no time for the epidural and my beautiful girl arrived into the world within 2 minutes of pushing.

All in all I would say the cramps/contractions were manageable up until the third gel where it became pretty unbearable however it was for a very short time a gas and air helped take the edge off. The worst part about any of it was actually the later cervix checks where after stimulating the cervix my contractions were at their most painful.

If I had to be induced again I would skip the balloon and opt for the gels immediately as thy had a quicker effect and I would have been out a lot sooner if I had done this to begin with.

One more thing, I’ve never believed when people say “you forget the pain once they’re here” but I can honestly say this is true. It’s been 4 days and I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Exercise 6 weeks after c section

What movement did people start to introduce? I won’t do anything too vigorous until I’ve seen the pelvic physio as I don’t want to compromise anything that may have been extremely weakened through pregnancy! But just wondering what types of classes/movement people started off with?

Doctors appt horror stories

I got peed on at my one month olds doctors appointment and I wanted to see if others had similar experiences. It was just hilarious but also like whyyyy! Also jeez those doctors seem to be so rough when they’re pressing on the baby’s stomach and just moving them around checking their muscles and stuff.
